Halloween Treats

Making Halloween treats can be so much fun!  Now that school has started and summer vacations are past we head full bore into the holiday season.  Don't you wish it wasn't so?  The only upside of this is that soon our weather will start to cool down.  We are looking at 90 degree temperatures at the end of this week!  Yahoo!

I rent a small booth at a local craft mall and it is time to change things up so I decided to get busy on some Halloween items.  The treat box is made with the Motley Monsters DSP and Envelope Punch Board.  There isn't much stamping involved with this.  I used the Tag Talk stamp set for the tag background punched with the label bracket.  The Halloween greeting is from the Good Greetings hostess set which is only available for a limited time with a $300 workshop.  Last but not least, I cut the little bird out of the DSP.

To make the box, cut a 6"x 6" square of DSP.  Using the Punch Board, punch and score at 1-1/2" and 3".  Rotate paper 90 degrees counter clockwise, align score mark with score guide.  Punch and score again.  Repeat process until all four sides are punched and scored.  There is a great video by Pootles Papercraft on YouTube--6 x 6 Envelope Punch Board Box Tutorial.
