Everything Eleanor Birthday

This past weekend I was able to work on a few things.  This birthday card was for a special friend.  I was inspired by a card by Melissa Davies.  I also tried out one of the new twisted cards.  Erica Cerwin shared the idea with us at our monthly group meeting.

Did you happen to check out the Clearance Rack at Stampin' Up?  I was busy preparing for a class on Friday and I missed the opportunity to pick up a few things.  You ought to check it out, you might find something you just can't live without!

Tulle Roses

Every month the Stampin' Up group I belong to meets to share business building ideas and do a little stamping. We learn two new techniques each time.  Last month we made tulle roses and used the new spritzers filled with alcohol and ink.  If you haven't made a tulle or a ribbon flower yet, you need to give it a try.  Is is too easy and I loved the way the tulle rose turned out.  I must say the spritzer takes a little getting used to.  You can see that I was a little heavy handed on the front of this card.

CCMC-HOL4 in a Dash

Today I made a mad dash to participate in the challenge over at Create with Connie & Mary Holiday Edition.  I was hoping to relax this week after my mini vacation but I have been on the go every day.  Next week....Maybe I can get to some projects around the house.  I have been meaning to paint my living room and craft area, plant some fall flowers and vegetables in addition to making some fun Fall projects.  I get tired just thinking about it all!

Anyway, here is my card.  When I saw the Watercolor Wonder set in the Holiday catalog it called to me.  Now I am struggling to use it.  I'm not the biggest fan of two step stamping to begin with but I always think, "I can do this".  After some trial and error I decided to color the image with markers and keep it simple. The sentiment is from the retired stamp set called Elegant Cheer.

Monster Munchies Treat

What better way to keep yourself from eating all the Halloween candy than making up a treat for someone else?! I haven't even opened the bag of candy corn because I know I won't be able to resist all that sugar. Oh, and don't forget the creme pumpkins, a close relative of candy corn.  Mmmm!  Wouldn't a handful of either of these be great with your morning cup of coffee?  So, in honor of all that candy corn on the shelves, I made a cute sour cream container to put it in. The little tag is made with the Monster Munchies stamp set. The little owl is cut out and mounted on dimensionals. It's such a cute, little image.

Stampin' Supplies:
Stamp Set:  Monster Munchies
Paper:  Bold Brights DSP, Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black
Inks:  Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie
Accessories:  Crimper, 1/8" Pumpkin Pie Taffetta Ribbon, Lucky Limeade Twine, Decorative Label Punch, Large Oval Punch

Autumn Accents

I've been away from my crafting corner for too long.  Seems like it takes more effort to get back to it after a short break.  My husband and I took a trip to Seattle and Vancouver for a taste of fall weather (actually he had business there and let me tag along).  Before I left I made this ornament using the Autumn Accents die from the Holiday catalog.  This was a CASE from an Australian demonstrator but unfortunately I didn't save her blog information so I don't know her name.  Some of the leaves were stamped with the French Foliage stamp set or embossed with the Woodgrain embossing folder then I sponged the edges of each leaf too.  Each layer requires 20 leaves except the Rich Razzleberry leaf.  One of my favorite accessories from the Holiday catalog is the Brushed Bronze buttons.  They are perfect for all your Autumn crafting projects.  If you haven't tried them out you need to order some quick!

Stampin' Supplies
